Anxiety can feel constant — your mind won’t switch off, always scanning for problems or worst-case scenarios. You might find yourself overthinking, struggling to relax, or feeling physically on edge even when nothing is obviously wrong.
In CBT, anxiety is understood as a cycle:
- worry → temporary relief → more uncertainty → more worry
Over time, this keeps the mind and body in a heightened state.
How I work
I use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to help you:
- understand what’s driving the worry cycle
- reduce overthinking and mental “problem solving”
- build tolerance for uncertainty
Alongside this, I integrate somatic work to help your body settle:
- reducing tension and restlessness
- helping your system feel safer, not just think differently
I also explore with you the internal patterns that are trying to keep you safe but end up maintaining anxiety.
